Asociación INHIJAMBIA – Nicaragua
Studying at university when you come from a vulnerable neighborhood is not just an academic challenge. It is economic, emotional, and logistical. It means arriving in a space where most people don’t face the same constraints you do — where the cost of transportation or materials can be the difference between staying and dropping out, where the weight of family expectations and your own can become overwhelming.

Our partner Asociación INHIJAMBIA knows that reality, and their response is not just a scholarship. It is comprehensive support that holds up 17 university students from vulnerable neighborhoods in Managua across three dimensions at once.
First, financial support: concrete resources to cover study-related costs, reduce the risk of dropping out, and allow each student to focus on what they are there to do.
Second, personalized academic follow-up: during the first six months of the year, each student receives continuous accompaniment to identify difficulties early, strengthen their organization, and stay on track. Third, emotional well-being: psychosocial support processes that help them face the challenges of university life with greater security, resilience, and clarity about where they are headed.
Each of these 17 young people represents a bet. The bet of their families, who believed education is worth the sacrifice. The bet of INHIJAMBIA, which chose to accompany them not only with resources but with presence. And their own bet — choosing every day to keep going. When they reach the end of that road, they will not only be professionals: they will be people who know they achieved something hard, and that this too makes them a possibility for others.
