Community Agroecology Fairs are much more than marketplaces—they are spaces of connection, knowledge exchange, and celebration of the bond between people and the land.

Local farmers share experiences on crop diversity, organic composting, native seed conservation, and the traditional milpa system—an ancestral practice of growing corn, beans, and squash together to enrich soil health and biodiversity.
Over 300 people, including students from rural schools, took part in this edition with the goal of passing down ancestral wisdom to new generations.
The fair honored Maya Achí heritage, fostering food sovereignty and recognizing the intergenerational value of traditional agricultural practices.
These fairs help strengthen both local farming and social fabric, paving the way for a more just, healthy, and sustainable future for all.
