On May 17, our partner Asociación Muchas Más hosted “Somos Red: Volver para Seguir Creciendo” (We Are a Network: Returning to Keep Growing), a gathering that brought together former scholars from different generations to strengthen bonds, share learnings, and reflect on the roles they now play within the organization and their communities.

During the event, participants revisited experiences that shaped their educational and personal journeys, highlighting the importance of having access to opportunities, support networks, and women role models at key moments in their lives. The gathering also celebrated the achievements of former scholars — many of whom are now continuing their studies, exercising leadership in their communities, building their professional careers, or mentoring other young women.

Current scholars, mentees, and mentors also took part, sharing how Muchas Más continues to create opportunities through scholarship programs, rights education, leadership development, mentoring, and efforts to bring more adolescent girls and young women into STEM fields.

More than a reunion, the event reaffirmed the value of networks of support among women and the collective commitment to opening doors for new generations — building an intergenerational community united by the purpose of expanding educational opportunities and contributing to a more just and equitable society.
