Cooperativa Sulá Batsú, Costa Rica
The Sulá Batsú cooperative has launched “Stories Corner”, a mobile library and art workshop designed especially for early childhood. This project was created with a clear purpose: to bring reading, writing, and imagination to young children, especially in communities where access to these resources is often limited.

Currently, the project visits children in Tirrases, a community where many Nicaraguan migrant families are building their lives in Costa Rica. There, among stories, games, and curious voices, Stories Corner cultivates affection, learning, and dreams.
The traveling space visits educational centers and childcare facilities to share readings, storytelling, and artistic activities, as well as offering a small free reading corner where children can explore books at their own pace.
This mobile library, which continues to grow with love and creativity, will bring books, art supplies, and playful experiences to different parts of the country, ensuring that reading reaches where it is most needed.
Stories Corner is a commitment to literacy from a sensitive perspective, to creating bonds with books from an early age, and to recognizing the transformative power of imagination. This collective dream is made possible thanks to the support of the Pan y Arte Foundation (German cooperation) and the Municipality of Curridabat (Ciudad Dulce).
