COFAMIPRO, Honduras
The II Meeting of Committees of Relatives of Disappeared Migrants was held in El Progreso, Yoro, a key moment in the struggle for truth, justice and dignity in Honduras. This space brought together committees and organizations committed to the defense of the rights of migrants, strengthening ties and building alliances to continue moving forward collectively.

During the event, the Network of Committees United for Truth and Justice was formally consolidated, supported by Fundación Avina’s Migrant Voices for Change project. This network marks an important milestone by uniting efforts from different regions of the country around clear and common demands for justice for the affected families.

The day included spaces for the exchange of experiences, analysis of joint work with institutions such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Secretariat of Human Rights and Legal Medicine, as well as the reaffirmation of collective objectives.
In addition, an advocacy plan was designed to demand the approval of the draft bill for the Protection and Search for Disappeared Migrants Law, thus strengthening the legal and political response to this serious problem.
The creation of the committee reflects the firm commitment of the committees not to leave any family alone in their search, convinced that organization, articulation and solidarity are powerful tools to transform reality.
