A Sincere Journey to Reconnect Through Art and Storytelling

ConTextos continues to highlight the transformative power of stories and art to heal, connect, and build community. This year, the organization launched “A Sincere Journey to the Origin,” a series of gatherings where storytelling, reading, and dialogue intertwine with diverse artistic expressions—inviting reflection, creativity, and human connection.

Each month, ConTextos’ library and garden transformed into spaces of pause and connection, welcoming people of all ages to share experiences, emotions, and memories through art:

  • March celebrated poetry with intimate verses exploring origins and identity.
  • April brought dance with the Raíces collective’s performance “In the Name of Mothers,” inspiring empathy and sisterhood.
  • May invited contemplation through the artwork of La FábK collective.
  • June resonated with music performed by Fátima Azucena Soriano and violinists Luis Soriano Zarceño and Nelson Márquez Claros.

In each gathering, art became a bridge connecting stories, emotions, and generations. Through this initiative, ConTextos reminds us that even in moments of disconnection, it is always possible to create spaces where respect, listening, and empathy flourish.
