Peronia Adolescente – Guatemala

Education transforms when teachers have spaces for training, reflection, and professional development that strengthen both their technical skills and their human capacity. With this in mind, our partner Peronia Adolescente drives the Pedagogical Training and Development Process of School District 01-15-06, an initiative aimed at strengthening educational practice and the support provided to children and youth in the community.

This training space is designed to provide pedagogical and socio-emotional tools that improve teaching and learning inside classrooms and beyond. More than sharing knowledge, the process promotes the exchange of experiences, collaborative construction, and the development of educational practices that respond to the real challenges of Ciudad Peronia.

The professional development work also strengthens the commitment of teachers, facilitators, and community actors to a more inclusive, participatory education centered on the well-being of young people and adolescents. Each gathering reaffirms that working as a community and recognizing education as a tool for transformation are essential to building opportunity, hope, and engagement in Ciudad Peronia.
