Roots of Hope: Water from the heart

In the mountains of El Pital, La Lucinda and El Olvido, something more than water begins to flow: hope, dignity and life.

With pride and commitment, Un Mundo is moving forward in the construction of the new water system that will benefit 162 families –more than a thousand people-, bringing not only safe water, but also health, union and community development.

This project is much more than a work of infrastructure. It is a work of the soul. Along 4.7 km of pipeline, from the creek to the tank site, values are also sown through the ESCASAL model (Healthy Schools and Homes) and the protection of the Puerto Barrio micro-watershed, reforested and legally safeguarded for the use of the community.

Thanks to the valuable support of World Vision, which joins as a new ally, this effort continues to grow with strength and heart.
