With the conviction that talent should never be defined by economic circumstances, in 2025 the Trinational Border Commonwealth of the Río Lempa continues the Trinational Solidarity Scholarship Program. This initiative supports young people in vulnerable situations to complete secondary school by providing financial assistance and academic guidance—promoting equity, inclusion, and the right to dream big.

In 2025, the Trinational Solidarity Scholarship Program continues to strengthen its role as a key tool for expanding educational opportunities across the region.

Key results include:

  • 50 students supported across five municipalities in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras.
  • 64% of scholarships awarded to women, directly advancing gender equity in access to education.
  • 20 young people will complete high school this year; 85% of them are women—reflecting the commitment and determination of young women in the region.
  • Ages range from 17 to 30, with an average academic performance of 80%, highlighting the students’ effort and dedication.
  • Re-enrollment of young people and single mothers who had dropped out due to lack of resources, strengthening educational inclusion.
