The Adventures of COM: Sexual Education

The Adventures of COM (contraceptive methods) was created as an innovative response to the need to empower young people with access to accurate information on sexual and reproductive health. In a context where family planning and the use of contraceptive methods are essential for personal development and responsible decision-making, this project focuses on creating accessible, youth-friendly spaces where young people can get informed and obtain contraceptive methods safely.

Between 2024 and 2025, 14 Community Family Planning Stations were set up in Tegucigalpa, Comayagüela, Trujillo, Santa Fe, La Ceiba, and Corozal, distributing a total of 9,755 contraceptive methods: 200 emergency contraception doses, 9,360 male condoms, and 195 oral contraceptives.

This program not only aims to provide immediate family planning solutions, but also advocates for a cultural shift—empowering young people to live their lives with responsibility, respect, and knowledge.

Through these actions, “Family Planning Routes” is positioned as a model for promoting youth health and well-being, contributing to more informed and healthier communities.
