This year, the Women’s Support Group (WSG) strengthened its role as a safe, confidential, and deeply human space where women in the municipality of Jutiapa could share their experiences, rebuild their stories, and strengthen their support networks.

Focused in gender, human rights, and community mental health approaches, the process was tailored to the participants’ social and cultural realities.
Throughout the program, 25 women actively took part in 21 sessions focused on personal and emotional growth. Each gathering became a space of trust and reflection, where participants were able to heal emotional wounds, recognize themselves as valuable and capable women, build self-esteem, and gain practical tools to navigate everyday challenges.
WSG made a meaningful impact on both individual and collective well-being—sparking empowerment and promoting more equitable relationships within their communities. It was a transformative experience that reaffirmed the power of accompaniment, listening, and sisterhood.
