Seeds of Love: Support for Children in the Eastern Market Area

June 24, 2026

Asociación INHIJAMBIA – Nicaragua

Since 2025, our partner INHIJAMBIA has served 77 children — 45 girls and 32 boys — between the ages of 4 and 10, in the Eastern Market area of Managua. These children are seen twice a week, receiving psychosocial support and participating in play-based learning activities designed to support their personal and cognitive development. This phase also serves as an entry point for their eventual integration into the organization’s care centers, where they receive comprehensive, ongoing support.

Throughout the program, the team of psychologists and educators at INHIJAMBIA has observed significant progress: increased active participation in activities, greater curiosity and ability to follow instructions; improved fine and gross motor skills; clearer and more coherent expression of ideas, emotions, and needs; better concentration and ability to solve simple problems; and the development of basic cognitive skills such as memory and recognition of colors, shapes, and sequences.

Progress is also visible in daily life: parents and guardians report meaningful improvements in their children’s behavior and learning, along with better social interaction and more appropriate responses to stimuli, routines, and expectations. Through “Semillero de Amor” (Seeds of Love), INHIJAMBIA continues to affirm its commitment to the protection, education, and comprehensive development of children in vulnerable situations — building a more inclusive, nurturing environment full of opportunities for growth and well-being.
