Celebrating our roots, strengthening our community

Fundación Amor es Acción Internacional – El Salvador

On September 18th, Fundación Amor es Acción Internacional brought together young people from its English and computer programs to celebrate, alongside their community, El Salvador’s 205th anniversary of independence. It was a moment of identity, pride, and belonging.

Together they sang the National Anthem, recited the Pledge to the Flag, and reflected on the value of their roots and the importance of feeling part of a shared history.

The celebration continued around Salvadoran cuisine — that language that also unites: traditional dishes shared as brothers and sisters, as a community, as a people.

At Fundación Amor es Acción Internacional, they believe these spaces are also part of the learning. Every gathering is an opportunity for children and young people to know and value their roots, strengthen their values, and build real bonds with those around them.

Because education also means accompanying, celebrating, and creating spaces where every young person can grow, discover, and dream.
