ConTextos – El Salvador
At ConTextos, they believe a library can be much more than a room full of books. It can be a space to meet, imagine, ask questions, and discover new possibilities. Under that conviction, ConTextos developed “libraries that speak”, an initiative that aims to bring school libraries to life and turn them into true community gathering spaces within educational communities.

The program combines the creation and activation of libraries with teacher training, pedagogical support, and methodologies that make reading a living, meaningful experience.
In Morazán, the program reached 5 educational centers and 39 teachers and principals, who strengthened their tools to promote literacy, reading comprehension, critical thinking, and classroom dialogue.
The results speak for themselves: 97.4% of participants gained new tools directly applicable to their practice; 100% felt better prepared to carry out their teaching role; and 94.7% rated the experience as excellent or very good.
But behind each percentage is something ConTextos values even more: teachers finding new ways to bring books closer to their students, schools beginning to imagine their libraries as living spaces, and communities discovering that a story can be the starting point for a question, a conversation, or a new way of seeing the world.
Because when a book arrives at a school, it doesn’t come alone. It brings a voice, a question, a world of possibility.
