Odres Nuevos– Guatemala
Through its Family School, Odres Nuevos GT continues to create spaces for learning and reflection that strengthen families in its community.
This month, in recognition of International Women’s Day, the organization worked with more than 50 women in a process focused on preventing violence in the home.
The participants, mothers of children and youth served by the organization, took part in workshops and activities designed to raise awareness about domestic violence and provide tools to help transform harmful behavior patterns that affect family well-being.
With a holistic approach, this initiative seeks to empower mothers with the knowledge and skills needed to promote safer, healthier, and more protective environments for their sons and daughters.
Beyond the group of direct participants, this effort reaches much further, indirectly impacting more than 500 people, including parents, children, and extended family members.
