Asociación PILARH – Honduras
In the municipality of San Juan de Opoa, Copán, the work led by Asociación PILARH through its Self-Management Groups (SMG) methodology continues to bear fruit in the lives of dozens of women and their communities.

In this area, 11 groups have been formed, bringing together at least 89 women who chose to unite around a shared purpose: to move forward together, support one another, and transform their reality.
As part of this process, the SMG Platform was also established, a community-based organization representing 7 groups of women committed to entrepreneurship, strengthening their businesses, and creating new opportunities within their communities.
Today, these women are an example of organization, responsibility, resilience, and community leadership. Their story shows that the impact goes far beyond economic growth; it is also about solidarity, collective work, and hope.
The SMG Platform is not only transforming the lives of its members, but also generating jobs, motivation, and inspiration for other women in the community. Their experience shows that when support is provided through a human-centered and sustainable approach, dreams can become reality.
The methodology promoted by Asociación PILARH has built a legacy of work since 2015, supporting more than 400 women across the five municipalities of intervention in the department of Copán.
