EMPODERARTE SI (empower yourself) is an initiative by GOJoven Honduras focused on institutional strengthening and promoting leadership among youth volunteer networks, as well as networks of mothers and women caregivers.
Through an intensive training process, the project equipped young leaders to replicate key knowledge on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) and Sexual and Reproductive Rights (SRR) in their communities using a peer education methodology.
In addition, the initiative strengthened the capacities of mothers and caregivers, recognizing their essential role in promoting, supporting, and defending these rights within their homes and communities.
As a result, 30 young people from the youth networks were trained and went on to share this knowledge with 240 more young people across the organization’s different areas of work. This is further strengthened by the work carried out with mothers and caregivers, expanding the project’s reach and impact.
